HD-Reader

Long-Range RFID Microwave Reader

TagMaster’s Heavy Duty (HD) Reader is a 2.45 GHz RFID Reader specifically designed for demanding applications requiring a high environmental classification, including applications in which the Reader is mounted directly underneath a train. This Reader was developed to meet the tough requirements of rail, construction, and logistics industries by conforming to a wide range of industrial and railway standards. The HD Reader is extremely resilient to electrical interference, making it particularly suitable for applications where high levels of electrical noise exist.

Long-Range and Proximity Identification

A long-range 2.45 GHz RFID Tag can be identified at up to 20 feet* using the HD Reader. The read/write Tags used are battery powered, keeping the Tag alert for an instantaneous response to the Reader signal.

High-Speed Identification

The HD Reader’s read-range is user configurable. In addition to an extreme tolerance to high electromagnetic fields, the Reader uses digital processing techniques to enable high-speed Tag identification at a velocity of up to 249 mph.
