Long-Range RFID Microwave Reader

TagMaster’s HD Track Reader is a 2.45 GHz RFID device for identification of Tags in railway applications. The Track Reader is specifically designed to be installed on a sleeper between the rails. This track-mounted position allows the Reader to identify Tags located underneath the train as they pass over the Track Reader. The Reader incorporates a TagMaster HD Reader and comes complete with an integrated mounting fixture and protective cover.
Long-Range Identification
A long-range 2.45GHz RFID Tag can be identified up to 20 feet* using the HD Track Reader. The read/write Tags used are battery powered, keeping the tag alert for an instantaneous response to the Reader signal.
High-Speed Identification
The HD Reader’s read-range is user configurable. In addition to an extremely high tolerance to electromagnetic fields, the Reader uses digital processing techniques to enable high-speed Tag identification at speeds of up to 249 mph and is capable of detecting direction.

Easy Integration

All of TagMaster systems support an extensive variety of industry standard interfaces including RS232, RS485 and Ethernet (TCP/IP) which requires an optional external connector. Integrators are able to develop and implement new applications for the Reader using TagMaster’s Software Development Kit. This enables users to write applications which reside in the Reader or create applications which communicate with the Reader via the interface.
